Scholarship Duration
- The scholarship has a three-year maximum term. You can apply for both an MS that leads to a PhD and a PhD in it.
However, if you want to pursue an MS that leads to a PhD, the program’s length will exceed three years. But the Vanier grant is only valid for three years.
Therefore, if your MS leads to a PhD, you’ll need to find additional funds for further years. Maybe a professor from Canada can enlighten you about it. For a Ph.D., however, you may apply for the full-time period, which is three years.
