The Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship is a program that gives a two-year scholarship for a master’s degree at a university in a Commonwealth country with low or middle income. This means that people who can apply will study in a different country. The QECS 2024 scholarship covers all expenses for the whole program.

The scholarship has two cycles. The first cycle starts in November or December, and the second cycle starts in March or April. Applications for the second cycle are currently open. You only need to submit one application, but you can apply again if you want to study in another country. People from Commonwealth country, including citizens and those with refugee status, can apply. More details are provided below.

To qualify for the QECS Award, you need to meet these criteria:

  1. From a Commonwealth country
  2. No age limit
  3. Achieved at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in your bachelor’s degree
  4. Already completed your bachelor’s degree (final-year students not eligible)
  5. Funds available for two years only
  6. Full-time study required
